Ellen`s Coffee Shop & Family Restaurant in Chestertown

This place was a total disappointment. So disgusting. The waitress or was she the owner took our order and 45 minutes later we finally received our breakfast. She never checked on us in the 45 minutes to see if we needed coffee or water as we were about to walk out here comes the food. In the meantime I watched the chef microwave food the entire time. They never brought us toast or coffee and gave me an omelette when I ordered eggs Benedict. I said, this isn't my order so then 5 minutes later here comes my Benedict. It was so runny and slimy. My daughters pancakes were like rubber. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Simple casual relaxed atmosphere. My wife and I head here for breakfast occasionally, and its great every time. Staff is friendly.

Came into Ellen’s for the first time this Friday with some hunting buddies. We were waited on by one of the rudest nastiest waitresses I’ve ever met. Our food was really good but she was a unorganized mess and her attitude made it even worse. We will not be back unfortunately. Giving 4 stars cause the food was really good.

Great place. Friendly people we came in with a hunters group this morning they were quick to attend and Serv . 14 sandwiches some drinks and laughs off to the woods awesome thanks guys.

This is a home town place. A lot of locals come in to chat , and get something to eat. They have a lot of things to serve you. Prices not to high.

Good option for a local diner

Ellen's Coffee Shop is a little local diner thatserves breakfast all day, lunch, & even homemade dinners. It's a place where you can go to catch up with old friends. The foodis very reasonably priced. It's good for all ages. My partner & I ordered breakfast. He had eggs, sausage, & home fries with wheat toast. I had creamed chipped beef over toast with home fries. Both our meals were delicious, & the serving size was more than adequate. The only suggestion I have is that the waitress could smile & converse more.

Great for a nice cheap breakfast! I also got to try white potato pie for the first time!

Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Pancakes are gross, all the b fast meats are gross too. Coffee isn't even good! Dang, even mc Donald's has decent java!.

Fast service, good food, VERY affordable, lots of locals on a Tuesday morning after duck hunting
